AY 1 : LEAVING SINGAPORE TO AUCKLAND!

we assembled at 6.30pm ..

terminal 3 , row 10 ^^

our flight number is SQ 285 .. it will depart at 9.05pm ..

our upper on the plane!!

our breakfast on the plane !!

first we went to this restaurant " Nando's" to have our lunch!

went to mt eden after our lunch ..

the wind was  very strong ..we all almost blown away by the wind ..

at mt eden we can see the auckland city!!

The central focus of the suburb is the dormant eponymous volcano whose summit (196 metres above sea level) is the highest natural point on the Auckland isthmus. The majestic bowl-like crater is 50 metres deep. The volcano erupted several times resulting in a series of craters, with the last eruption about 15,000 years ago ..

DAY 3 : GREEN BAY HIGH SCHOOL!

this is our breakfast!! it is very nice!

after our breakfast we went to GREEN BAY HIGH SCHOOL!

the environment of the school was great..

which of us has a buddy with us .. and we are suppose to follow the buddy to their classes and observe their lessons ..

we realised tt the students keep on asking questions .. ask and ask ..

they also have home econ lesson .. art lesson .. but they have unique lesson that our school don have ..

they have JAPANESE CLASS! they learn japanese ..

they have SEWING CLASS!! they design clothes .. or dress

we spend almost a day at GREEN BAY HIGH SCHOOL!

after school .. we head back to the library and talk about our country .. for eg .. singapore has a multi racial society ..

then we sing a song for them ..

and some of our students miss their buddy !!!

we exchange our contacts .. before we leave green bay high school

next .. we stop over at karapiro Hydro Dam . with a discussion of the transfer of energy from potential to electrical ..

at the Hydro Dam .. we all were freezing becos the wind was very strong

OVERNIGHT AT KIWIPAKA ROTORUA ACCOMODATION

DAY 4 : tectonic , volcanism and changing landscapes , kiwifruit growing on volcanic soils

first .. we went to Rotorua Lake fron for intoduction to volcanism

next we visit Te Puia to study and experience geothermal activity including steaming streams, bubbling mud and the larget geyser in the southern hemisphere.

we went into a room and we manage to see  the endangered kiwi bird , but we are unable to take a picture of the kiwi bird because the room don allow us to use flash and take photos.

we went closer to the geyser and take photos there .. suddenly it rain! but it is raining ICE ..

we can feel the impact of the ice when it hit us ..

after visiting Te Puia .. we went to this place called : " ZORB"

we will be going into this Zorb Ball and roll down the grassy slope ..

in the zorb ball .. it contains warm water and we will get very wet when we roll down the slope

inside the ball is warm .. unlike the weather outside

but once we get out of the ball .. we were FREEZING!

after ZORB .. we went back to kiwi paka to have our lunch ..

after lunch we went to COMVITA .. home of manuka honey ..

the green colour spot among the bee .. is the QUEEN BEE

after tt we went to KIWI 360!

we learn how the kiwifruit process in its primary stage from orchard to the market to gain an appreciation of the technology behind this innovative product ..
